How to Choose a Corporate Yoga Trainer
in Bangalore: A 10-Point HR Checklist

A good corporate yoga programme can lift energy and ease desk-related aches. A poorly matched one gets low attendance and is quietly dropped after a month. If you are an HR or L&D lead in Bangalore, this checklist will help you choose a trainer your team will actually keep showing up for.
1. Recognised yoga credentials
Ask for the trainer's yoga teacher certification (for example a 200-hour or 500-hour course) and whether they are registered with a body such as Yoga Alliance. A fitness or personal-training certification is a useful addition for posture and mobility work.
2. Experience with corporate groups
Teaching a studio class is different from leading 30 or 100 employees in an office. Ask how large the biggest corporate group was and what they did to keep everyone engaged and safe.
3. Formats that fit a working day
The best programmes are short and flexible: 30-45 minute desk yoga, breathwork before meetings, or a weekly session in a conference room. Check that the trainer can work around your schedule, including early morning and lunch slots.
4. Beginner-friendly and no-equipment options
Most of your team will be beginners in office clothes. Look for sequences that work on a chair or standing, with no mats or changing needed, plus a mat-based option for wellness days.
5. Safety and modifications
Employees will have back pain, neck stiffness, injuries or health conditions. A good trainer gives easy modifications, avoids risky poses in group settings and encourages people to check with their doctor.
6. Clear goals for your team
Decide whether you want stress relief, posture and back care, focus, or a one-off event. The trainer should tailor the session to that goal rather than offering a generic class.
7. On-site and online options
Bangalore teams are often hybrid. A trainer who can run on-site sessions and live online sessions lets remote and office employees join the same programme.
8. Simple scheduling and communication
You should be able to reach the trainer directly by phone or WhatsApp, get a clear proposal quickly and agree timings, group size and pricing upfront.
9. A way to measure results
Track attendance, a short pulse survey on stress and energy, and feedback after each month. These are enough to show whether the programme is worth continuing.
10. Start with a pilot
Run a 4-week pilot with one team before rolling out company-wide. It lowers risk and gives you real feedback and attendance numbers.
